Mingo-Wayne Home Health is a branch of Martin County Home Health. The Martin County agency originated in 1968. Their vision was to provide outstanding home health services for the rural areas of Martin County, Kentucky.
Over the years, the need for expansion of home health care was identified for patients in rural West Virginia. As needs continued three other offices were opened to provide the same excellent home health care for the residents of Mingo, Wayne, Boone, Logan, Cabell, Lincoln and Wyoming counties in West Virginia.
Currently there are three additional offices to accommodate the growing number of patients in these communities. Preferred Home Health opened in 1996 to provide services for Wayne, Cabell and Lincoln Counties in West Virginia. Mingo-Wayne Home Health was opened in 1999 to serve Mingo,Wayne and Wyoming Counties in West Virginia. Preferrred Choice Home Health Care was opened in 2006 to provide home health care for Logan, Lincoln, Boone and Wyoming Counties in West Virginia.
Martin County Home Health attributes the success of the agencies to their staff of dedicated and highly motivated employees. Factors such as teamwork, flexibility and aggressiveness in taking on new challenges in health care have enabled us to expand our mission and further our services.
